The Ohme Home Pro is a 7.4kW smart home EV charger with a Type 2 cable already attached, so you simply pick it up, plug in and charge. A bright colour screen on the front shows your live charge data, and you can also control everything from the Ohme app. It has built-in 4G, so it works even in a garage with no Wi-Fi. It links with your energy tariff to charge when electricity is cheapest, and it can use spare solar power too. Our OZEV-approved engineers supply and fit it for you, and it comes with a 3-year warranty.

The Ohme Home Pro is built for drivers who want smart charging without any fuss. It is a tethered charger, which means the 5m Type 2 cable is already fitted to the unit. There is no cable to buy and no cable to lose. A colour screen shows your charge level, cost and schedule, and three buttons let you make quick changes without opening your phone. Behind the scenes, Ohme's software works with your energy tariff, your car and your solar panels to charge at the cheapest and greenest times. Our OZEV-approved engineers supply and install it, so you get a safe, tidy setup that is ready to use.

The Ohme Home Pro puts everything you need in one compact unit. It has a built-in screen, a connected app, 4G and a fitted cable. You can start, stop and schedule charging from the charger itself or from your phone.

The Ohme Home Pro delivers up to 7.4kW from a 32A single-phase supply. That is about 25 to 30 miles of range per hour of charge, depending on your car. It is far faster than a 3-pin plug and ideal for overnight charging.
Connectivity: 4G
The Home Pro has a built-in 4G multinet SIM card, so you do not need Wi-Fi to use the app. Ohme covers the cost of the SIM for the first 3 years. This makes it a great choice for garages and driveways with weak Wi-Fi.
Solar compatibility: Yes
With the CT clamp supplied in the box, the Home Pro can send spare solar power to your car. This helps you use more of the energy your panels make instead of selling it back cheaply.
Tethered cable: Type 2, 5m
The Home Pro has a Type 2 cable fixed to the unit. It comes with a 5m cable as standard, and an 8m cable is available if your parking space is further from the wall. It suits every current UK electric vehicle.
Built-in earthing protection
A built-in PEN fault device means most installs do not need an earth rod. This saves time and cost on installation day.

Smart Scheduling - Yes
Tell the Ohme app which energy tariff you are on and it finds your rates for you. Then set a target charge level and a maximum price per kWh. The charger starts and stops on its own to use your cheapest rates. It works with all energy suppliers, including Octopus and OVO smart EV tariffs.
Cost tracking - Yes
See what each charge cost, when it started and stopped, and how much energy you used. You can check this on the charger screen or in the app, so there are no surprises on your bill.
Intelligent Octopus Compatible
The Home Pro takes free over-the-air updates, so it gets new features and fixes without a visit from an engineer. It also works with smart tariffs such as Intelligent Octopus, so you can use cheap off-peak rates.

Is my electric vehicle on the API list?
Some car makers let the Ohme Home Pro read your battery level directly. This lets the charger reach the target percentage you set in the Ohme app. The supported makes are:

If your car is not on the list, create a schedule that says how much charge to add. For example, if you arrive home with 20% and want 80%, set a target charge of 60%.
Can I use the Ohme Home Pro with a Type 1 car?
No. The Home Pro has a fixed Type 2 cable, which fits every current UK electric vehicle. If you drive an older car with a Type 1 socket, the Ohme ePod is a better choice because its universal socket takes both cable types.
Does the Ohme Home Pro come with a cable?
Yes. It is a tethered charger, so a 5m Type 2 cable is already attached. An 8m cable is also available if your car parks further from the wall. Just ask for it when you request your quote.
Is there a 22kW version of the Ohme Home Pro?
No. The Ohme Home Pro is only available as a 7.4kW unit. Most UK homes have a single-phase supply that cannot use 22kW anyway, and 7.4kW is plenty for most drivers. It fully charges most cars overnight.
Is the Ohme Home Pro weatherproof?
Yes. It is rated IP55 for water and dust and IK08 for impact. It can be mounted on a wall or post, indoors or outdoors, and works in temperatures from minus 25 to 45 degrees Celsius.
How do I pair the Ohme Home Pro with the Ohme app?
Our engineers will set up the app on installation day. They will pair your charger, connect your energy tariff and show you how everything works before they leave.
Is the Ohme Home Pro available in different colours?
The Ohme Home Pro comes in black.
What is dynamic load balancing and do I need it?
Dynamic load balancing lets the charger watch the power use in your home and lower its own output when demand is high. This protects your main fuse. The CT clamp is included in the box. Many homes do not need it every day, but it is good to have in case your power use grows later.
